Here is a document listing where the 10,000 Syrian refugees are being sent to in the US.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-09-13/10000-syrians-are-headed-following-180-us-refugee-processing-centers

For Honolulu, they are being sent to / processed through the Pacific Gateway Center.

With all the homeless problems and housing problems here, that would not be a very good idea..

Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

Great. This exactly what Hawaii needs - more Third World invaders. And many of these 'people' are followers of a 7th century throwback 'religion' that is antithetical to American values. Why is Montana and Wyoming smart enough to not process this invasion?

One of the highest cost of living in the US, that's a great idea.  After a few months, they'll want to go back and take their chances in Syria.

the islamophobia is getting old.  worst case is they become homeless.  their religion shouldnt be causing any worries.  its a handful of people running away from a war.  have a heart.

Four out of five migrants are NOT from Syria: EU figures expose the 'lie' that the majority of refugees are fleeing war zone

Some 44,000 of the 213,000 refugees who arrived in Europe were from Syria
A further 27,000 new arrivals on the continent came from Afghanistan
Britain received one in 30 of all the asylum claims made by new applicants
David Cameron has offered to take in 20,000 refugees but none from the EU

'Many of those who have opted to risk their lives to come to Europe have done so for economic reasons.'

Quote
German Chancellor Angela Merkel fuelled the chaos last month by declaring that any Syrian who reached the country could claim asylum.

When the numbers became uncontrollable Berlin shut its borders, throwing Austria, Hungary and other EU countries into turmoil.

Croatia has received 14,000 migrants in the past two days and was last night moving some to the Hungarian border.

Hungary is laying razor wire on the border having done the same on its border with Serbia.

Croatia has closed seven of eight road crossings to Serbia and ordered its border guards to redirect migrants to Hungary and Slovenia. The Hungarian government described this as 'totally unacceptable'.

Violence broke out yesterday between Syrian and Afghan migrants fighting to board trains across Croatia.

And Slovenian riot police last night stood in the path of 200 migrants trying to enter from Croatia. Slovenian ministers say they will accept asylum seekers but send back anyone deemed to be an illegal immigrant.

If they are Syrian Christians, Assyrians or Yazidi and want to be Americans then they are welcome.  But only after they are vetted thoroughly.
However it does not make sense to send them to this high priced paradise where regular folk gotta eat meals that probably "urban" types would complain about.
Hawaii will sure get interesting with local born, mainland transplants, rich Asians, micros, central American immigrants, euros and ME types.
Some people call it a melting pot, but everyone knows that only a few will dominate based on their wealth and will want to change "da Kultcha" to what they're familiar with.
Unfortunately we live in interesting times.

I have a heart, but I fear that the worst case could be FAR worse than them just becoming homeless.  Credible reports I've seen say that the vast majority of the refugees are military-aged males traveling without any family.  Traditionally, one of the best predictors of violent unrest in a society is the number of single, unemployed, military-aged males running around.  It's only worse when they're not culturally assimilated to where they live, and islamists are not known for their desire to assimilate.  I'm not saying we shouldn't take ANY in; I'm saying if we do, we need to vet them to the best of our ability (which I doubt is very good), keep very close track of them, and have a plan to repatriate them once the current civil war runs its course.

their religion shouldnt be causing any worries.

You see, that's the problem right there  - you consider Islam merely a religion. If you were to really dig into it, you'd see that Islam is an all encompassing political ideology, which masquerades as a religion.

And the term "Islamophobia" is a moronic word made up by a Muslim Brotherhood front group: http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/11/how-the-term-islamophobia-got-shoved-down-your-throat

The families of the Boston Marathon Bombers received over $100,000 in welfare and other government assistance.  According to HuffPo, the assistance ended in 2012.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/30/tsarnaev-family-welfare-benefits_n_3187975.html

The marathon bombing happened in Apr 2013.  Coincidence?

The bombers were flagged by Russia as potentially radicalized Muslims.  The US had them on a terrorist watch list, then dropped them from it.

Part of the motivation to kill was their apparent inability to assimilate into US culture.

I'm sure the new Syrian refugees will assimilate much better!!
