I think a modern take down bow would be a more useful option. Below is a video that shows what I'm talking about.

Don't waste money; build your own.

I've been following this guy since he first started; makes bows out of PVC that will blow your mind. I convinced him to make both a no-heat-needed bow and attempted to get him to make a no-heat-needed take down bow, but that was kind of hard to do.

Here is what he came up with for a minimal heat takedown bow that you can make yourself for less than $20, that is just as good if not better than the commercial take down bows on the market.

Also, browse his channel; amazing knowledge he is giving away for free, especially those interested in survival and/or prepping.
