Tragedy indeed.
As in the words of Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton..why waste a good crisis.
I can think a lot fo things to ban in light of this tragedy. Cars, alcohol, drunk people
A car-free and alcohol free zone around parades.

Ban parades.

Nobody needs a parade.

Parades create too much carbon and contribute to climate change.

Parades are not culturally diverse, so they should be canceled.

Nobody cares about "homecoming" events.  They are part of a ploy to lure alumni back to a school to solicit funds.  We should raise taxes on the 1% so schools don't have to resort to soliciting alumni for donations.

Parades interfere with traffic and prevent people from accessing businesses along the parade route.  This hurts the businesses and inconveniences busy shoppers who should not be required to schedule their time around a useless parade.

If there had been no homecoming, the driver would not have been drunk behind the wheel after attending homecoming parties.

If there had been no parade, the driver would have had no parade/watchers to plow her car into.

I blame the parade.

Ban parades.

Everyone knows parades are jingoistic and stir up militaristic fervor.  Dangerous to diversity.

Unless it  is the Folsom street parade with homosexuals mimicing butt sects with each other while wearing chaps..........

That is A-OK of course.

Father said,""This is just not who she is. They're going to paint her into a horrible person but this is not (her)," Floyd Chambers told the paper."

I can't see it any other way. Your daughter killed four people including a 2 year old.

The whole idea of "Homecoming" is insensitive to the "alternatively housed population."

Horrible tragedy, but this is not an accident.   You start driving drunk, this is intentional.   Anti-gun types like to paint all traffic related deaths as accidents because they drive.   Run a mental health check on many antis and lots would be denied licenses.  Especially libs who like to go to psychiatrists for their "issues".

Hmm...a common denominator in MASS KILLINGS....mental health issues

"I absolutely can rule out alcohol," Coleman told a press conference in Oklahoma City, adding that he had spoken to her aunt, grandmother and boyfriend and all had said she was not drinking. He added it was his opinion that she suffers from a mental illness and said there were warning signs from her behavior before the crash, including an inability to sleep.

We need to ban cars immediately, and re-instate alcohol prohibition!
If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready.

No alcohol involved, but the facts in no way should get in the way of your anti-booze agenda.

Press on!!

So he is able to determine that alcohol was not at all a factor just because friends of the suspect said so? What an idiot.

Only thing I would trust is a scientific test to rule out alcohol impairment.

it could be that some mental condition lead to the accident though. Who knows, maybe someone will suggest mental background checks before people get driver's licenses?
