Free shoot 8-10 ?

Open shoot around 8am-10am, depending on how long it takes to set up.

my brother is interested in taking the class as well if he were able to bring a .22lr carbine, being a full-time student and funds are kinda tight.

anyone ever take a .22 to these classes? he would bring either his GSG-522 or my 15-22, but most likely his GSG since he has plenty of range time on the M-16.

I defer to Dirty and Mac, but I've always been a supporter of the "if that's what you have, bring it" mindset.

I tried looking for a previous thread about gear setups for the Range Days but couldn't find it.  A few guys posted their setups there if you can locate the thread.  I wouldn't recommend buying a belt just for the day, but if you're going to buy one regardless make sure it fits really well first.  The HSGI sure grip belts are nice but pricey.  You'll want to get 2 to 3 rifle mag pouches for it.  HSGI tacos are great and flexible but again pricey.  There are a ton of choices when it comes to mag pouches so choose what you think will work best for you and is to your liking.  Some guys prefer bladetech, others like regular pouches with velcro, some prefer the pouches with added retention cords and flaps.   If you want to run a dump pouch that's fine.  I used to run a belt but switched to a chest rig set up instead.  Sorry I don't have any pics saved of my old set up.

There was another thread at one point where a bunch of us all posted pics of the belts we were running.  I think WTFShane, myself, and a few other guys posted, but I couldn't find it.  Thanks for finding those links though Mac, see you on Sat.

i'm just bringing my communist chest rig that my brother bought me years ago. the pouches can fit 2 ar mags or 1 ak mag.

side note FYI: this ebay store has a ton of inexpensive gear with free shipping from california, so it comes fast.

i ordered 12-shell carriers for the shotgun class and they came in 3 days.
