That's pretty cool. Maybe this will be a collectors item some day. It's a fun article too.

We've got your source for zombies.

Wow, I never thought the zombie thing would go so far that ammo manufacturers would have "custom" ammo for a non-existant enemy.  I am by no means saying I'm not prepared though......... :D

At first I thought (was hoping) someone ordered green polymer and marketing had this brain buster idea. But after seeing the box design and production value of their commercial? It's clearly a Halloween promotion. In a perfect world, gun shops would give these away for trick-or-treating adults.  :D

At $1+ per round? I think it will definitely become a collectible...like Winchesters Black Talon.

From that video, it looks like the zombie ammo isn't very effective. With what I learned from the walking dead, crossbows and Colt Pythons are where it's at.

When I first got the email "heads up" and started looking into it, I decided to contact Hornady directly.  From the generalized and weakly cryptic response I got I surmized my premise was correct.  They ar just a marketing variation of the existing A-Max, V-Max and Critical Defense rounds repackaged.  Load comparisons are no different from what I've been able to find out.

Neat marketing gimic but weak of Hornady in the actual information (for comparison purposes) regarding the "loads" used per caliber offered.  If you want your A-Max, V-Max and CD bullets with a green polymer insert instead of the rd, knock yourself out......performance can be expected to be identical.

I shot with a guy named Dean, last Saturday.

I wonder if it's the same Dean??

In Hawaii can you be prosecuted for killing a zombie?

They are dead already.

Maybe we have to have our congressmen make new laws? to make us living not liable?

So if a zombie is chasing you who do you call? HPD? The Zombie Police? or take the matters into your own hands?
