AR15 with Quick Detach Stock

My newest build , Pink Hello Kitty AR 15. Its assembled with a removable  stock, 16.5" barrel and an OAL of 26.2"(w/o stock) OAL 36" with stock extended.

Just to poke some fun,   I showed it to several people around the  block and everyone first reaction was "its an Airsoft gun ". Thats because it has a Blaze Orange Flashhider.

They were shocked it was a real firearm.  :o

what kind of stock is that?

They are for the  Colt SCW platform , Only airsoft copies are avialable  as Colt has not released them to the public .
They were pretty cheap @ $28 and quality is excellent.

Just regular High Temp engine spray paint from an Auto Parts store.

yeah,  actually walk around Lowes (for screws) and nobody gave a hoot. I think it would be a different story if it was black.
open carry of handguns are OK , but not rifles.  ::)

What state you stay? And are you saying I can buy the airsoft version if this stock and it would fit on a real AR? 😮

Yes, Most Gas Blow Back (GBB)  Airsoft  AR products do fit or are marketed to fit real AR15. Some fit directly and some require slight modification.

With the stock above , I had to make the end buffer tube with the  1-3/16 x 16 threads. (unpainted aluminum part)

I stay Penna right now.

Since the stock is detachable,

Make certain that the overall length with the stock removed is over 26" for a rifle. (federal law)

However, it would NOT be an assault pistol since the barrel is over 16". ( HI state law)

HRS134-1
Assualt  Pistol or revolver  means any pistol or revolver............but does not include a firearm with a barrel sixteen or more inches in length,
