Have 2 options to purchase. Which would be better. Gonna be used in a AR-15 with a cmmg 22 bolt conversion.

Funny you picked those two, I have both. I have had trouble with the Automatch in semi autos and no problem with the American Eagle. I have been around four others with new semi auto rifles and pistols who were having problems with the Automatch cycling and when I gave them some AE the cycling was fine. I use the Automatch because I have it, I just have to rack the slide often with my pistol, not so with the AE. Maybe others have better luck with the Automatch. I also have had no problem with Blazer and CCI.

Im the opposite the automatch have cycled in all my semi auto guns and given me decent groups.  The automatch  will run in my ruger mkii which can be tempermental, id almost say it cycles good as mini mags for me

Of the two they ran the same for me in my CMMG 22 dedicated upper, the 10/22, and an old AMT 25/22 Lightning rifle. I think the AE was cheaper. I had problems with this ammo in a Sig p226 .22LR caliber conversion kit and minor issues in a Ruger 22/45 and an old browning buck mark.

I still prefer Blazer or CCI minimags over both of these though.

I have had no problems in semi autos with the Auto Match. I have had issues with the AE. However, I have to say the AE I believe was a bad batch. Because I have bought some since I had some bad boxes and I have had no issues. The AE I had would not cycle any of my rifles and had a weird smell and a weird sound to it when shot. It pays to have a revolver as I finished up that batch in my revolver with no problems of course. It was not as accurate as the Auto Match either. The next batch I purchased shot well in all my rifles but again the accuracy was that of a cheap plinking round.

It is hard to compare the two as the AE is cheaper price than the Auto Match.
