President is just trying to come to a solution where gun owners and no gun owners can reach common ground. Using guns to blow away two year old kids is not what our founders of this country meant in the second amendment its militia arms against the government if the government rise against the people, not lunatics blowing away kids, could teachers have guns to protect the kids, I say yes that's why we debate to come to common ground to keep the crazy and lunatics from carrying guns but still keep our rights to have guns. Remember when we register our guns where law abiding citizens standing in line, the government have to worry about the ones not standing in line with guns that's the problem. It's up for debate because we are a country of laws, some good some bad but hey the better of two evils

I fail to see how me and other law abiding citizens standing in line to register firearms helps, deters or prevents in any way those that choose not to register or follow the law.

Did you see any criminals in line at HPD? In a sense registration does work...no criminals will register their guns! People that are oblivious to any sense of meaning will find that rewarding and "feel good" about a law. Registration does deter criminal activity see <points to line of people registering guns>

Actually, yes I did.

They are all in the shorter line, registering as sex offenders -- for everyone in the firearm line to hear!   :rofl:    :shake:

carrying your guns in town is dangerous and verboten, except for when you are told by law to carry them into the heart of town and right next to the state capitol.

I'm struggling to buy his tearful emotions on camera, as they are coming from the same man who was told an American was beheaded by ISIS -- and then immediately returned to his golf game!

<Tinfoil hat>

1. Cause social unrest by instigating BLM movement.

2. Import Muslim terrorists to cause mayhem.

3. Use #1 and #2 as excuses to impose more gun restrictions which would never pass without #1 and #2.

</tinfoil hat>

By requiring these background checks for every transaction, it is requiring you to get government permission to buy or sell any firearm.

A bit of a leap but imagine what it would be like if had to get government permission to buy or sell something.
I think, therefore I am armed.
