Never bought a gun through gunbroker.

I also did a search and there are some 75B (various variants) available, but the 10 rounders are rare.  Yeah, I could get them pinned/blocked, but another cost and hassle.  Even then, the pricing isn't great.  I got a pretty good deal on this order and it's not like I "need" it, so I am willing to wait.  I too prefer to support and go through LGS when they can get what I want and the pricing is close.  With shipping and FFL, the guns on gunbroker would come out a good amount more, like 10%+.

I have bought FFL items online before, but usually only after the LGSs can't get it.

I will always buy local when its comparable. For example. MY son wanted a H&k G36 22lr. The only local gun store that had one wanted $580+Tax. I picked one up on Gunbroker for $420+25shipping and $25 FFL thanks to awesome Henry @ Prime sports. So saving over $100 is a no brainier for me.
Oh i did buy my CZ75 9mm matte stainless from security equipment. But if they didn't have it i am not the kinda guy who waits 6-9 months for a gun i want.

Yeah, I hear ya.

When I put down my deposit, the person mentioned 4-6 weeks, which was completely reasonable.  However, he wasn't the one doing the ordering and coordinating with the supplier/distributor.  I found out later that a friend who also put in an order for a CZ that the guy putting in the order indicated as long as 4-6 months!  Wasn't exactly happy, but whatever.  I've wanted that gun for a long time and I can wait.  That and I recently bought a couple of new guns over Christmas, so it's not like I really "need" a new gun or jonesing for something new.  Haha.

Damn!  Did you get the price? Found out today that I'm supposed to get a bonus at work. Haven't received it, but might be tempted to spend it. Haha

No didn't.  I wasn't in the market for one right now.  All I can say is that this pistol is AWESOME.  DA and SA pull feels so smooth, light, and tuned.  Range toy and competition would be so much fun with this guy!

I got to fondle the Shadow over the weekend and, well, just DAYUM!  In more ways than one!

It's a great feeling gun!  I've shot a Shadow before, but like 5 rounds at a range session.  The trigger is really nice for sure!  Both SA and DA.  The SA was impressive and the DA even more so since it wasn't like most DA pulls that I've tried.  Well, most of those DA triggers weren't a CZ and had not gone through custom work.  I liked the aggressive grip panel as my hands can get sweaty when I'm competing.  Also, I was told that this gun is still legal for USPSA production division as well.  The sights were nice as well and pretty much what I'd want for a competition gun.

That said, the price tag was also a different kind of dayum.  It was at the top end of the range that I had expected, but I kind of had hopes that it would've been on the lower end.  Just can't support that purchase right now, but I now have a better idea on options when I am in the market for something like that!

Had the opportunity to shoot another CZ 75 Shadow this past weekend.  The owner reported it as the most basic SP-01 Shadow version that was around high $800-900.  Very nice gun!  Shot about a mag through it and very accurate and very nice trigger.  It's also a very soft shooter.  I haven't shot a standard CZ 75, but I assume that the added weight of the frame of the SP-01 helps reduce some of the muzzle rise.  I've heard that the standard CZ 75 are soft shooters none-the-less.

From the "basic" Shadow version, it appears that they upgraded the sights, which probably accounts for most of the difference between the CZ-USA production SP-01 and the custom Shadow version.  The one that I shot yesterday did have a nice trigger on it.  The one thing that I think I might take a while to like is the manual safety.  Of the CZ's that I've shot, they all feel about the same, which is somewhat less than a positive engagement.  I guess I am comparing to the safeties on a 1911.  Probably not a big deal either way, but just something I've noticed in my handling of the gun so far, which isn't that much.

One my buddies ordered the same one.  We are all waiting. . .

Let me know what you think of your when it eventually comes in.

Picked mine up. This thing feels solid!  Haven't taken it to the range yet but did a bunch of dry firing. Love the ergonomics.  I'm sure the overall weight coupled with the low mass will be fun!

Like the ergonomics much better than my block. This thing fits like a glove!

Still nothing. . .  :(

Not worried and expected a long wait, but still.

Have you shot yours yet?

Shot a handgun match this past weekend and saw a few more CZs in action.  I also saw some Tangfolio guns, which are very similar (start as CZ clones?).

From the CZs, I like that I can easily swap out the side grip panels to get different textures.  It was hot and humid this past weekend and the grip on my Gen 4 Glock seemed ok, but I wish it was a little more textured.

Damn you!!!   ;D

I was pretty close to buying the Shadow that Prime Sports had (or still has).  Decided to wait until my SP-01 comes in and shoot with it for a little bit before diving into the Shadow realm, but this one is pretty interesting.

From what I read, it seems like the MSRP will be in the $1100 range.  Seems like it's on the .cz website, but not the US website yet.

The mags will be another story, but I was talking to another CZ/Tangfolio shooter and might be able to get some blocked standard cap mags for a good price.

Was able to shoot another CZ Shadow over the weekend that was pretty close to what I would like to have in a competition gun.  Fixed rear sight, plain and with serrations, and fiber optic front sight.  The single action trigger is very nice but the double action trigger is also surprisingly very smooth!

Just came home from OGC. Lots of CZs in stock if you're looking. Was tempting to come home with a 75B SA.

I have a P01, the compact version of the SP01. It runs everything I've tried in it, but I've never tried any steel cased ammo. CZ's are great guns! They have a lot of used ones listed on buds gun shop, and a gun broker vendor cdisales has a whole bunch of them too. They're all listed with mags over 10 rounds though.

Maybe I'll add something else to make the most out of my trips to HPD.   :P

I'm really considering the CZ SP-01 shadow 2. I'm not sure if it came out yet, but can anyone chime in about it (or speculate about how it might be a good or bad purchase)?
