I'm really considering the CZ SP-01 shadow 2. I'm not sure if it came out yet, but can anyone chime in about it (or speculate about how it might be a good or bad purchase)?

Been searching for reviews, but I have only seen a very few other than the CZ corporate ads.  I think they have only been released in Europe and Asia because the only reviews I have seen have been from there.  Sadly, they are not in English so I have no idea what they are saying.  Lol.

I haven't seen anything about the Shadow 2 as well.  I've been surfing a couple of CZ forums lately (researching SP-01s and other Shadow models) and haven't seen any "in hand" reviews.  That's definitely a cool gun though.  For me, I wanted something sooner rather than later.  Anticipating a building rush on things as we get closer to November.  I hope it doesn't happen, but still. . .

Shadow Target II and PPQ 5" have been picked up.  Waiting on the blocked mags for the CZ, but picked up a couple of mags just in case I got the itch.  I was going to try to head to the range last week Friday, but got busy with other stuff.  Really looking forward to shooting both of these.  Need to get the holsters and mag pouches and then they will be ready to go for IPCS/USPSA.

Shot the CZ this past weekend and it's AWESOME!  Very happy with the purchase!  It's a great gun.  The price tag did hit me, but I'm very happy that I got it.  I'd still like to get a more basic CZ, but I'm loving this Shadow version.

One thing that I will change out is the grips.  The one that it came with is super aggressive.  Just handling it, I thought I would like it since I am used to the Glock Gen 4 texture.  But after shooting it, I'm gonna try something different.  It was pretty painful to the thumb pad portion of my support hand.  Maybe something I could get used to over time, but it was pretty painful after about 20 rounds or so.  Ended up shooting around 100, but enough that I will at least give a different texture a go.

Didn't get to shoot the PPQ 5".  Messed up the rear sight and didn't have a chance to zero the replacement.  Incidentally, if you are going with Dawson Precision sights, they are MUCH softer metal than 10-8 sights.  Lesson learned the hard way.   :grrr:

I thought I posted.  Maybe on another site.

I've been meaning to do a review with pics.  Just have to set aside time to do so.

My first impression of that long slide model was the MSRP of $1600 and was like  :o

Then I remembered that the one that I just got was about that price.

I would still like a stock 75B SA or SP-01, but not a priority.

I like the new frame shape of the shadow 2, but really like the long slide.....

Ah. No money anyway, just dreaming...
