Contacted Shimabukuro in reference to SB783 to inquire about language of bill, specifically with regards to the mental health section.

Informed by staff that unless it is pushed forward, bill will expire in 1-2 weeks.

Scheduled interview to clarify questions.

ALERT! Ivory bill is back (SB2647) and the WLA/JDL is having a hearing is tomorrow 2/10/2016 3:20pm at conferece room 224.

SB2647: Wildlife; Species; Trafficking; Fines    RELATING TO NATURAL RESOURCES.   
Prohibits the sale, offer to sell, purchase, trade, or barter of any part or product from various animal and marine species. Provides exceptions to this prohibition, including for traditional cultural practices protected under the state constitution. Imposes penalties for violations of the prohibition on trafficking animal parts and products, including specific administrative fines. Effective January 1, 2017.

That means there is still more time to send in testimonies.  Keep sending in your testimonies against this bill.

"If a person charged with minor domestic abuse, like pushing or shoving, and can't plead delayed acceptance of guilt (DAG) or (DANC), if convicted you lose your gun rights forever.  Only a Governor's pardon can restore rights."

SB2314 SD1   Abuse Against a Family or Household Member; Deferred Acceptance of Guilty Plea; Nolo Contendere Plea
RELATING TO THE OFFENSE OF ABUSE OF FAMILY OR HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS.   
Makes a person ineligible for a deferred acceptance of guilty plea or deferred acceptance of nolo contendere plea in cases where the person was originally charged with the offense of abuse of a family or household member and the charge is subsequently reduced to a lesser included offense. Effective 1/7/2059. (SD1)
