At work we have to cover up any tattoos.  If I had tattoos like that, I would look like Phantom of the Opera.  That would freak out some of my patients.   

I witnessed a male with facial tattoos inquiring on the status of his permit at MPD (Maui).  Half of his face covered in horizontal linear fashion similar to the coverage on the reference photo in the thread.

They said, you didn't pick it up, so it expired. He said, "but you guys didn't call me".  We have 4+ female clerks and they are all very nice ladies. She politely said it was his responsibility to call and inquire after his waiting period was complete. I also heard something referenced about a warrant had to clear before he was able to apply.  Wasn't sure if that was in the past or present.

Oh dear, I hate to give in to any stigmatizing or profiling. In fact, I smiled and greeted him in a friendly manner.  But he clearly was not as organized or detail oriented like the majority of applicants.
