Apparently the corruption is starting day one now

Internal probe targets alleged cheating at police academy

"A cheating scandal at the Honolulu Police Department's training academy has resulted in an internal investigation, officials said.

Some recruits in the current class at HPD's training academy in Waipahu are under investigation because of allegations that some of them received answers to questions on tests in advance, allowing them to cheat"

I remember when I took the HPD test and the told us to be honest on everything.

I answered questions honestly, and they came up with some bullshit accusations which I disproved, yet they said to come back in 3 years.

I was later told that I should have lied

That's why HPD never surprises me.

Too smart for your own good.  A lot of times those in power want you to do things exactly their way and not to question why................just do.

every organization has its challenges

But not every organization catches cheaters, knows exactly who the cheaters are/may be and is like, "Oh well...welcome to Law Enforcement. Hold everyone to a higher standard."

My mama said,"If you cannot say anything nice, no say anything".  So this is what I have to say regarding the PD in general.

There was actually a legal suit where a police applicant (not HPD) was turned down due to his high IQ. He was told that his IQ would mean that he'd quickly become dissatisfied with police work and quit, so they weren't going to hire him. The applicant sued and lost. So, the bottom line is the police can refuse to hire you if you're too smart...

He allegedly beat up the guy while the guy was hand cuffed and in police custody.

"Immediately after the incident, HPD removed Stone's gun and badge, took away his police powers and re-assigned him to HPD's Training Academy in Waipahu.

LOL
Yup, model HPD instructor material. >:D

Did you see the news regarding HPD's training  standards and questionable  IA protocol on the news the other night?
Mentioned previous HPD incidents of gambling parlor, wife beating etc... but no mention of this little party.  :wtf:

COP under fed investigation hires abusive husband as right hand man as HPD's domestic/personal abuse, DUI, drug dealing drug growing extortion etc flourish with little to no repercussions.
