A number of my friends' kids have all sorts of Nerf guns and I'm often the target of such guns!  I hope they don't get this one! 

That said, I can often get my hands on the guns and when I do they have grown to be more, uh, careful with who they shoot.  That said, they also are quicker to pick up the shot/used ammo, so they have somewhat of an advantage.  The key is to enlist one of them to retrieve the ammo for you.   ;D

They have some pretty elaborate Nerf guns and they aren't that cheap.  I think one that my buddy bought for his nephew had four cylinders with each cylinder having 6 rounds! 

That and I think it's become almost a reverse arms war where they (two brothers) buy the other's kids better Nerf guns.   ;D

This is nothing, 68 mph is 100 feet per second. Paintballers usually play about 280-300 fps.

You will feel the nerf balls but it really isn't that big a deal.

I have read that there are people who modify nerf guns by replacing the springs to make them shoot a lot hotter.
