Out of curiousity, what are those lanes thats between the rifle and archery ranges? I see people there shooting, just don't know what its for. Are those private lanes?

The Handgun Metallic Silhouette range is operated by the Hawaii Metallic Silhouette Shooters Association.  Metal targets from 50m - 200m.  Any caliber handgun.  .22 rimfire rifles may be fire on this range.

There is the silhouette range and the state training range, used by state LEO and corrections officers.

You can shoot at the silhouette side, but not the state side.

To add. They are only open on the weekends and there is a $5 fee for all day shooting.  All shooters should assist in resetting targets during ceasefires.

Agree
Please help reset targets
Hardly anyone does
Place can be full with waiting list and yet only 2-3 people reset targets
Maybe only 2-3 people are hitting the targets.

I enjoy shooting at the silhouette range.  Too bad they aren't open on weekdays.

I mostly shot handguns.  I'll shoot 22 lr rifles from time to time, but only when I got with this one friend (his rifles).  Even if I am only shooting the handing steel, I'll still go out and help reset targets.  When I take friends shooting (non "usual" shooter friends), I have them come with me and reset targets as well.  Good exercise.   ;D

I've seen 556 & 308 allowed, but that's through single shot pistols.

They said I could use hollow points.
