Succsessful habits/schedule

Hey guys,

I was hoping we could get a list of successful habits/schedule...

I am making my schedule for college and have a few hours here and there that will not be used, as I already have study times devoted for school.
Of course, gym time is a must... I would absolutely love waking up at 4 AM( Sarcasm), so much I can accomplish waking up at that time. Before starting college, I would study Russian.
I would like to become fluent. Anyway, what are some habits you guys feel contribute to your success/productivity?

Thanks!

I read that many men who hold powerful jobs start their day early around 4am, but take a power nap. Eg. 20 minutes.
My suspicion is that these are all older gents who need to get up at 4am to pee and can't get back to sleep.
Don't ask me why I know this.

Look for work experience in campus that will help you in the field you want to get good at... a job in campus means that you can go earn some money when you're not in class, before you have to run off to your next class.

The extra-curricular stuff that you do in your field of work counts for a lot and oftentimes teaches you a lot more that is not taught in class.

So just general tips?

Make sure you get enough sleep as this affects your performance in many activities throughout the day.

The last test I had I really applied myself in my studying, approximately 10 hours a week or more. Developed a study plan that i feel was far more effective than just reviewing written material repeatedly.

Uhh lets see. I am not the best person to ask about successful habits probably. I mean I do ok, but don't make millions of bucks or anything.  I make sure to poop before I take a shower so I know my okole is clean throughout the day.

Success is relative though so it depends on what sort of success you want. Financial success, relationship success, etc.

One thing I learned from kendo which struck me as having a myriad of application is the concept of zanshin. This concept is SO SIMPLE but has so many applications in life... I am still learning to apply it even up to now.

Quote
In the context of kendō, zanshin is the continued state of spirit, mental alertness and physical readiness to meet the situation (such as an opposing attack) that must be maintained when one returns to kamae after attacking. It is one of the essential elements that define a good attack.

In Kendo, when you strike your opponent, you are not yet done at the act of striking a successful blow against your opponent.  You are only done after you have returned to your initial ready state, and readied yourself for the next attack. Zanshin.

After you complete something, do not rest yet until after you get your equipment cleaned and put away and yourself mentally prepared for the next task / the next day. By doing this, you are always prepared in the event when a new opportunity presents itself.

School and college is all about memorization. They did away with critical thinking long ago.
Find a way that you can remember things easily and can stick in your brain, repetition, practicing with others, writing it down, whatever you have to do. Every chance you have do this.
The great and bad thing about it is by the time you graduate, or at least finish the test you probably won't remember much of it.
Good luck in your studies. What are you taking up?
