Hoping he is okay. 

I just spoke to him yesterday and he said, if I remember correctly, that he had 7 committee meetings that day. Being the only republican, he sits on all of them. My guess is he's just exhausted. At least, I hope it's nothing serious but I don't know. He sounded fine and in good spirits.

Hope he's okay.  He was at the neighborhood board meeting last night and gave his report.   He mentioned about all the pakalolo (dope) bills in the legislature and how some HI politicians are behind the scenes trying to get licenses.
Komrad Karl will probably support legalizing marijuana.  The PTB need people high and loaded so they can continue to get their vote.

Yeah, you wouldn't want freedom and liberty to extend into any activity but those YOU approve of. Who do all those people "high and loaded" on (legal) alcohol vote for? Do you support repealing the 21st Amendment? You want people to be able to keep and bear any arms they'd like if they don't harm anyone else, but not to be able to consume something far less harmful than an already legal well-documented significantly more dangerous drug (alcohol) even if they don't harm anyone? Let's hear your arguments and evidence. The obvious solution is to legalize cannabis, completely, not some big-government controlled mockery of freedom wherein the corrupt politicians cut themselves in for a slice of the extremely limited and lucrative pie they've created. Slom and Rhoads are both typical party-line politicians that selectively endorse citizen freedom only for their own irrational ideologically-based pet projects. They are simply fascist "law and order" mirror images of each other.
