Wind damage at KHSC
« on: March 09, 2016, 06:39:50 AM »
Just saw some pictures on the news that some structures got damaged at the range.  Couldn't quite see what area they showed photos from.  Pictures shown were most likely taken before dawn.

pic i saw was of the hut between the rifle and silhouette range. apparently the shack is for the sheriffs when they go during the weekdays. it blew down to the silhouette parking area. lol i like how they had a 4 minute segment on an empty mililani park building that received next to zero damage from a falling tree, but the khsc building fully blew down and they even said one person was injured but it was all covered in about 20 seconds.

Because the most used public park in the state doesn't need funding for improvements......

Your tax dollars are needed for more serious matters....... ::)

It doesn't say how public use of the range is affected, especially on the weekend, when the silhouette range and the right side of the rifle range are open.

I just received a text from security equipment about the silhouette range being closed this weekend.

@SECHawaii: We had received a call from the Silhouette Range letting us know that they will be closed this weekend (March 12-13) due to the high winds.
