Can we push for legislators to pass a law that says LEO must have the same magazine capacity as civilians?

Don't think that would get very far.  My approach would be to focus on the use of the magazine.  Amend the law to make the possession/use of commonly available rifle magazines that fit in a pistol as well as a rifle restricted to rifle use.  So if you have a bunch of 10+ Glock magazines and use them with your Kel-Tec SUB-2000 rifle, then you're good to go.  However, if you use the same magazines with a pistol, then it's a crime.  Further define "use" by being inserted into the firearm.  Not an ideal situation, but a step towards un-f-n the magazine law.  Most don't realize that standard AK-47 and Ruger 10/22 magazines that hold 10+ rounds could be illegal under current law.  Eventually it would be nice to see the laws fixed so all law abiding citizens would be able to enjoy the various firearms and accessories when used legally as well as ethically.
