This might be a little "in the weeds", especially for those of us in Hawaii where even a CCW license is deemed "dangerous and unusual" by our local tyrants, but if you're interested in the 3rd and 5th Circuit cases where oral arguments were presented last week by Mr. Stamboulieh, it's worth a listen. He does go into some comments about gun laws in general in addition to the machine gun laws. His segment starts at 9:54 and ends at 39:40. While there is some optimism that the 5th Circuit (Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi) might render a positive decision, those of us in Hawaii will play hell to get standard-capacity magazines for semi-auto pistols (I hate having to pass on those "police trade-in" sales of virtually unused pistols because they only come with standard-capacity magazines, as, for some reason, the cops need that many rounds, but we don't) much less a CCW license. Could we be any further away from being "allowed" to possess a fully automatic firearm?
