I hope he's alright.
Another update I heard was the shrapnel also punctured his spleen so they will be removing Chris's spleen. I don't know if the kidney can be saved or not yet. But since it was an arterial wound they had to go in right away to stop the bleeding.

HNN is always bias in their articles.  "Gunshot wound" sounds very much like he was shot.
