It's too bad most of the popular caliber ammo is gone already. I keep an eye out at two SA's and their supply of every popular cartridge is pretty much zero the last two times I went in. That's not to say they don't have an abundance of the not so popular stuff.

I'm mainly interested in the not so popular stuff. We can get the popular calibers anytime from places other than Sports Authority...

I bought some Champion brand stuff on Sunday but don't think I saved much kala.   Better to see in person and try on anyways.
For ammo, I think some LGS give better selection and everyday prices than SA.   Fox News said a liquidation company has taken over selling off the inventory and they may jack prices and then offer a discount.

I went into the Ward SA. Ran into a friend trying to get a refund for some extra warranty stuff he purchased before the close. I left before knowing his outcome.

I walked into the firearm area and in that 2 minutes I pranced around the counter, there were about a dozen gun lovers checking out all the guns and trying to find out when the discounts will start for firearms. Amazing how many people were there just like me trying to catch wind of the liquidation. That being said, I think if and when the rifles and pistols go on sale, it will fly.

Talked to a worker at Kapolei store and asked if rifles will be on sale. He said no cause HPD told them not to sell them at ddiscounted prices. They don't want people stockpiling guns. Don't know if true or not. We'll just have to wait and see.

I overheard the same thing at Ward store, just never mentioned it. With two accounts now, perhaps it's true. Could it form the basis of a lawsuit against HPD?

Then again, could just be something made up by SA or their employees. Shouldn't the liquidator have more say in that anyway?

My source said mainland stores have begun shipping their inventory to Hawaii to burn off in stores. No idea how long they plan on staying open here though.

Waikele SA firearms and ammo not on sale. Worker said they might go on sale later, they have to check with vendors next week.

With all due respect, this site has so much oral sex with Democrats and HPD,
with us being the punks, It is laughable.  You had better make your choices soon
or the HPD will be coming to your house and dis-arming you and you will
just sit and watch and write letters.

Went to my local Kapolei store and there were a bunch of people in the gun department. One was buying a Vortex scope 10% off for $189. Another buying a knife at 10% off. While another was stocking up on shotgun shells at 5% off. I couldn't decide if I wanted to buy something I didn't really need. The glass on the Vortex scopes was pretty good but I didn't like the reticle. Guns were not discounted. All 9mm, 40 and 45 ammo were gone except the high end defense rounds. I saw some .17 rimfire, .32 Magnum, .380, .38 Special and 30 carbine. There were 13 boxes of Aguila Super Extra Subsonic .22. I bought a large bottle of Hoppe's.

Best item for sale there was a snow board.
