How to post a picture within the post.

The only way I know of to post pictures is to go to the "attach" area on the bottom of the box that you type words in.

It posts the pic but it's off on the side in a little thumb nail.

I've seen others post their pics right in the same area as they type words.

How is this done?

Also is there a way to post pics from a smart phone?

The image tag in the editor - just under the B for Bold.

The image has to be up on the web somewhere and what goes between the tags is the URL...

For example, here is the site's logo (we'll see if it works):

Looks like this without correct tag marks: ) instead of  ]...

So posting a picture means either posting the URL to someone else's picture or having a site (Picasa, for example) that you can put the picture on then link it from there.

Yep, just like that

You need to upload it somewhere first, though. You can do the same with a smartphone.

OK, I still don't get it.  I've taken pictures with my camera (10 MP) and I download them to iphoto on my computer.  When I click on "attach file" I eventually get a message that the file is too large.  So, how do I upload a pic of the stuff I want to sell?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You can resize it to reduce its file size (KB) or upload it to a host site first like Photobucket or similar and then post the link(s) in your ad.

I use photo bucket. Upload your pics then look for the 'get URL' you can email the pics from your smart phone to your photobucket acct.

Copy the img /img line and paste to the text box.

Easy as pie.

Let us take the wonderful Ms. Adriana Lima as an example.  A site is hosting a link to her pic.  The link is as follows;
http://images.free-extras.com/pics/a/adriana_lima-719.jpg

I have wrapped said link above in the tags [img)   [/img)
(replace the closed ")" with "]http://" and throw the link in the middle, no spaces............that is another way to do it.
