So as it stands, he either knew the shooter was a natural-born U.S. citizen and claimed otherwise, or he didn't know because he trusted the media to accurately report the facts in the wake of a mass shooting.

That makes him either a liar or a moron.

Loretta Lynch states that the transcripts of the phone calls between the murderer and law enforcement will be censored/redacted/edited, and the actual audio tapes will not be released, only transcripts. Gee, what could be in there that they don't want anyone to hear? Must be a national security issue. No mention of his reported calls to his wife and reported visits to social media sites. I'd really like to know what he had to say to everyone he spoke to. I guess I'm considered too stupid by the government to make my own mind up about what he said without being turned into a jihadi. He says we "are going to do" so many things to stop terrorists.  Why the delay?  What's stopping him from already doing all that?

At 6:25, he starts in about the gun used, saying we can't catch all the killers before they kill, but we can do something about the amount of damage they can do.  Politics makes it too easy to do as much damage as possible.  Blah blah blah.

Use emotion, blame the guns, ignore the fact the FBI fumbled the ball and says being as armed as the killers in night clubs defies common sense.

House Speaker Paul Ryan called on the Obama administration Monday to "release the full, unredacted transcript" of the Orlando massacre gunman’s 911 calls, slamming the Justice Department’s censoring of all references to Islam as "preposterous."

The redacted transcripts of Omar Mateen’s calls to Orlando Police — made during his assault on the Pulse gay nightclub — included Mateen’s claim of responsibility, as well as identifying himself to police as an Islamic soldier. All other references to ISIS or Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi were scrubbed clean by the Justice Department.

"Selectively editing this transcript is preposterous," said Ryan, R-Wis., in a statement. "We know the shooter was a radical Islamist extremist inspired by ISIS. We also know he intentionally targeted the LGBT community. The administration should release the full, unredacted transcript so the public is clear-eyed about who did this, and why."
