Best ammo for ciener .22lr conversion for AR-15

A few FTFs with various ammo brands in my .22lr conversion. Any recommendations for ammo? I am thinking about getting the BCG conversion treated with microslick.

I run blazer through a CMMG dedicated upper and it works just fine.  try buzzing the chamber and see if that helps.  also, make sure that you never dry fire it because doing so can ruin the chamber.

Is the FTF you are referring to a Failure to Feed or a Failure to Fire?

Can you be more specific about the issue? What happens exactly? Have you had any .22 ammo does works perfectly in it before? Does the manual call out a certain type of ammo?

I almost always recommend that if someone is having a problem with their .22, and it is ammo related, I will recommend CCI Mini Mags. CCI MM's are about the best HV ammunition you can get without spending a fortune. If it doesn't work reliably with MM's then I would say there is another problem that needs to be addressed.

I apologize. I have a few failure to fires. I can give CCI ammo a try.

When you examined the cartridges that did not fire, did you find a full strike, light strike or no strike on the rim? If a light strike or no strike it may not be the fault of the ammo. Rather it probably is your equipment.

+1 on that.

Try thoroughly cleaning the firing pin and channel.

I have CMMG kit.  It feeds and fires anything I've tried in it, including SK match ammo which is subsonic.

I haven't had any misfires from CMMG conversion bolt either with any high velocity 22lr ammo.

If you are seeing light or no strikes you might also want to try and see if your cartridges are fully seating into the chamber of the barrel. If not then the chamber needs a good going over with a bronze brush.

Try the kit with another rifle with the same ammo and see if you still have problems.  Any modifications to the lower or is it milspec?

You need to check your firing pin and the way it is striking the rim primer.  I find a lot of these conv have a firing pin that is off or has issues.......
