I might need this pretty soon   :D

SNIP

You've been on buying spree lately!  I've slowed down as I've filled my 12 capacity carrier with "keepers".  I still have a couple of slots in that carrier that can be replaced though.  I have a bunch that didn't make the cut in a plastic bin though.

Now that I'm in CrapBack, I've channeled my attention back on firearms.  That and hopefully I'll have a few more revolvers to sample in the next range day.   ;D

nice!
not nice that we're in Crapback, but nice that you're attention is back on firearms and will have some more revolvers to sample.   :shaka:

I also got two 18 knife capacity knife bags.  1 is Kershaw, the other is ZT branded.  but they're exactly the same bag just with different logos on the front.
i'll be selling some of my knives soon.  a few Kershaw and a few CRKT.  good knives, but I have too many now.  some gotta go.
I now appreciate the ZT brand the most.  great quality, fit and finish.  all 3 of my ZT's are great knives.  my 1 Reate blade is very good too.  those 4 knives are probably my best folders.  and I got 1 more ZT on the way.  couldn't resist this one.   :D

Ferrum Forge, Gent.  Titanium, G10 scales, s35vn blade

Came sharp, and with a few licks on the Lanski and a light strop polish, it's shaving sharp.

Very light weight and nice to carry. Would not consider a self defense blade per the shape and the handle, too slick and small, not much to keep your own hand from slipping onto the blade, more of a utility shape IMO.   Will test it out at work to see how well it holds up to hard cutting tasks.

Yeah, stupid nutnfancy videos...

Super tempted to get one of those Boker Strike autos for $40 they recently had on one of their vids.  Can't carry it anywhere here so pointless.  Don't need another letter opener.  hahah

one more ZT.  this is my 4th ZT.  0920.  Les George design. 3.9 inches of CPM 20CV.  titanium frame lock, with these grooves in the frame for grip which are really nice.     https://www.bladehq.com/item--Zero-Tolerance-Les-George-0920--52151
it's big, but its not too heavy.  its 9 inches overall.
the detent is slightly stronger than the 0393, the Hinderer design, but the 0920 is super smooth.  I can just tip the blade down without even moving the knife, to close the blade, and it just falls back into lockup position just by gravity alone.
it opens super slick, super smooth.  I think this one and the 0393 are maybe the best opening folders I have.  the Reate comes in a close 3rd.  but all 3 open really great.  each detent is strong but too strong.
I have it pictured with the 0909, another Les George design with a 3.75" blade and is also a big folder.  but the 0920 is even a little bigger.
overall, I really like all the ZT's I have, but the 0920 and the 0393 are probably my favorite overall.  although the 0350 and 0909 are also great.
I also have some bronze anodized screws on order to put on the 0920 to match the bronze pocket clip.  should get here next week.

did the parts upgrades for my ZT0393
changed out the stainless parts for blue anodized titanium parts.  except for 1 filler tab and 2 screws that are stainless, the rest are blue anodized titanium.
I changed the scale screws, filler tabs both sides, pocket clip, pivot screw both sides, standoffs, and blade stop pin.
basically I took it all apart and replaced everything except the blade, frame, and G10 inserts, and replaced everything else, and put it back together
it was a learning experience, and I like it a lot better now since I added my own personal touch
it functions the same, just looks better.  my new church knife!   :geekdanc:

Is that a scraper?

I guess it would work as that, it does have a chisel grind. I call it a push cleaver. It was a scrap of steel that really wasn't long enough to make a good push dagger so I decided to make it wider. I could have made a spade shape but as you can see it would only be about a ¾" or 1" blade length.

I guess it is more utility and wouldn't be the best self defense weapon.

Kizer Sheepdog XL.  got it from whitemountain knives
https://knifejoy.com/kizer-v5488c2-kizer-c01c-xl-sheepdog-od-green-g10-knife/
big knife. 4 inches of 154CM steel.  smooth ball bearing pivot. G10 handles. came shaving sharp.  overall its well worth the money if you want a bigger knife.
pic is next to my Kizer Uprising which has a 3.5" blade, OAL just under 8" for a size comparison

Was at a family gathering for one of my best friends over the weekend.  My best friend, his brother and I all are into knives.  I got them ZTs last Christmas.  I even got my best friend's son a Benchmade after I lost a few bets.  Anyways, I notice that the son is carrying his at the get together and we start chatting about it.  Then one of the other friends shows off his knife, then a couple of the uncles.  Was pretty interesting that almost everyone in the circle of "drinking" had pretty nice blades.   ;D

We eventually got to talking about sharpening and I found that more than a few sent their knives back to Benchmade or ZT regularly for sharpening.  They used it as an excuse to their SO why they needed another while one was off being "worked on".

What are more interesting was our conversations about OTF knives and their legality in HI.  I did some digging and there's a bunch of discussion about what features constitute a switchblade.  I'll just leave it at that. . .

This is what I usually take with me when traveling to the Continental US. I keep a multi-tool on the belt. One in front pocket, one in back pocket, and the little SOG on the key chain.

That’s a nice variety. I’ve noticed a lot more folks carrying multi tools on their belt on the daily.
