Saw that and very tempted. Does it have a concave section at the base of the blade? Looks like it.

I came close to ordering another 0566 just because it is cheap.

Yeah.  I avoid blades that have a concave section, but just personal preference than anything negative.  Otherwise, I would have ordered one of those.  The 20CV steel was very appealing.  I've mostly pared down blasde steels to M390, 20CV and 30/35VN.  Still have a couple of Boker D2 that are excellent, but just avoid using them due to less corrosion resistance.

I've come to really like ZT knives now.  I have 5, and all of them are great and well made
I have a couple Kershaw that I really like too and carry often, maybe I carry these the most.  the Link M390 and the Knockout Sandvik steel.  these are small and the knockout is thin so its easy to carry with just about anything i'm wearing.

IDK if I posted this before, but I got diff knives for diff days.  Like shoes.

1) Range day knife-don't care if it gets beat up, dirty, and dulled.  I'll use it on concrete if I have to ($50 knife)

2) EDC knife-Still sort of the above, but not to that extent.  Won't use on concrete, but will use on boxes, open paint cans, etc... ($65 knife)

3) Glock K-Bar-Got it cause it looks cool and was cheap.  Don't use it for anything at all. ($19.99 on amazon from Glock)

I don't own any expensive knives, because then I won't use them at all.  To pretty to use.

I have a bunch of ZTs and they are my fave overall. I’m trying a Lionsteel and a Hinderer, but haven’t used those as much yet. I also still like Kershaw and have one of their M390 and wouldn’t hesitate to get another.

I have a couple of Spydercos as well. Good knives, but just haven’t displaced ZT.

2) Depends on my dress (work, more casual, etc). I have a ZT 0562CF (actually from another 2a member) that is one I carry most often, but little too bulky for work attire.

Understand issue of budget. I’m not rolling in $$$, but much more relaxed on that front these days. Nothing wrong with sticking to value, but like with many things in life, quality generally does come at a premium.

for church, I bring either my ZT0393 Hinderer design, or the Reate Hills.  those are my best looking knives, also they are well made. 
I don't really use them at church, but just in case I need something, at least they'll look good when I bust it out.

on the 0393 I changed just about everything except the blade and the frame
on the 0566 I just changed the pivot screw to the Hinderer looking flathead screw, and added the Punisher pocket clip which makes it easier to draw and its a deep carry clip that also fits thicker pockets.  form and function.
both great knives.  as are all of my ZT's.  can't go wrong with ZT.

Not that anyone here does anything illegal, but that stabbing on the free way was with a switch blade which is illegal.  So even if self defense, state might go after defender for that.

Not only switchblades, but butterfly knives and any spring loaded or inertia operated knives are also illegal.  And dirks and daggers.  But diving knives are legal, even though technically defined as a dagger (sharp edge on 2 sides).  Per case notes at bottom of law.

but a 30" torque wrench would be ok.  just in case you need to change a belt or tire on the road.

Amazing how a state that issues CCW's like candy (shall issue) and has permitless OC, it's illegal to OC a knife or conceal a knife with a blade longer than 2.5 inches.

But here where no OC/CCW permits are issued, we have no knife/sword/machete/razor blade law.
