does anyone else have a tendency to always like the look of certain designers?
i guess it's like cars and guns too
i always like the look of laconico designs (ken onion too, locals represent!)

has anyone ordered from kaviso before?
shipping/CS good?
wasn't going to get a new knife for black friday (although tempted by Rat 1.5 in magnacut for 85-95 dorrah)

I typically value and look for function/features and quality materials.  Looks are secondary.  I can't think of a knife that I would have bought mostly from look or appearance.  Or maybe I like a variety. . .

oh, i certainly wouldn't buy a knife for looks alone
i tend to look at $100 knives, and have all powdered steel knifes (except for my first one that was gifted from "a friend")
m390, s30v, etc
maybe the laconico/onion knives are mostly in that price range too...

yes I like certain designers of knives. Wong designs of TwoSun are very good. can get top grade steel for very affordable price
TS285. top is M390 with a multi color titanium. bottom is titanium with 14C28N which is very good budget steel. top one was only about 130 with my 10% off code

TwoSun knives. top 3 are Wong design, bottom 2 are Jelly Jerry
all are M390 except the middle one which is 14C28N, and top one is S90V, but I also have one in M390. the M390's were just over 100 bucks. middle one was about 65. super affordable for what you get and the action on all of them are top notch. if you never handles a TwoSun knife, you don't know what you are missing

great video
I encounter these knife douche-bags every now and then. when they ask how much I paid for one of my more expensive knives, and they say "I would never pay that much. for that 1 knife I could buy 5 of my budget knives."
then I reply "but my 1 premium knife is better than 5 mediocre knives"  for instance, would I want 5 Nissan Sentra's or 1 Nissan GTR. no hesitation, I'll take the GTR
but to each his own. I used to say that I won't pay more than 100 dollars for a knife, but now I know better. you get what you pay for

Good thing we don't know anyone like that. . .

I have my share of budget (or even mediocre) knives.  I definitely have come to value the quality and materials/features that come with the knives I do buy, which most happen to be on the more expensive side.

I have my share of budget knives too. most are pretty good for what they are. I still buy Civivi pretty frequently. lately they've been putting out some great knives. steel isn't premium, but the action on them are nearly like WE knives, their higher priced sibling
just ordered a Kubey from their website, so it's coming straight from China bc I couldn't find the model anywhere in the US. it's a budget knife that I got 20% off with a coupon code, shipped FedEx international priority mail which balanced out with the coupon code. knife got some good reviews. we shall see how it is once it gets here tomorrow
