I voted Glock, and i own an XDM40.
I like the trigger on the glock better, the

If I were to get a plastic pistol, glock gets my vote.
I like simple things, less things for me to break.

I like my Gen 1 Glock 17. Hard to beat the original!

XD - because the grip angle on the glocks never felt right to me.

I own one in 45. Fun gun.

I also chose Glock.

I have fired and tested all of the above pistols and for me, the Glock feels perfect in my hands and points straight for me.

I'm going with S&W M&P.  Grip is smaller and better suited for me.  The overall gun is nice and sleek.

Just bought a xd40sc

I voted XD, because I like the grip safety for a carry gun.

At the current prices in hawaii, youre going to need more then $500. I have a glock 23 and a H&K USP. Id say H&K because, im my opinion, is more accurate than my glock 23.

I looked at one a while back and didn't like the cut of it's jib, but I looked at some more reviews tonight, and I'm changing my vote.  I have a Beretta Cougar (surprise, surprise), and it's awesome, so I think the direct descendant of that pistol would be grand.  Plus, the thing I don't like about Glocks is that they have no manual safety, which is why the XDs have appealed to me, they seem like a good compromise between a tupperware gun and the type of service pistol I prefer.  However, why compromise at all, if I can get the action type I like (DA/SA), safety I trust, from a manufacturer I've been nothing but tickled with?

There's always a purchase coming up, but I still haven't gotten around to selling the bike.  Or doing my taxes...  Hey!  I need to do my tax return and get my refund check!   

I've shot the Glock, it was nice. I shot Berette's good guns. I shot the XD and liked it a lot, more for the safety features but I thought it was a nice firing gun also. I guess it's a matter of preference.

I don't mind the XD but I feel like the grip safety is more of a "feel good" gimmick than anything else.

Most people that can hold a gun properly will disengage it without even knowing.

But I do like the way it feels and shoots.

I don't really like manual safeties on SD guns.

The biggest reason why is that I shoot many different guns and having to think about where the safety is (because murphys law says it will he engaged when I need the gun in an emergency) is not an option for me.
