Basically you have to pull a take down pin before pushing the mag release

Man, I can see the gangs and ISIS rushing to place orders for these to be compliant.

Wondering if the people of California will refuse to comply?

HMM, Just take the magazine release away, hold the mgazine in place with your hand, Now its not a magazine but an ammo dispenser.

Good point, there are probably dozens of ways someone could overcome the outlawing of the traditional magazine release that would only slow a reload marginally.

Wait... are you complaining about being compliant, or complying with the complaint?
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

That was a quick fix.  However he said it will be CA compliant in 2017 and BEYOND.  I have doubts about the BEYOND part.

In California that is the term LEGALLY used to classify them,

Actually, CA uses the term "assault weapons".  The only reference in the state law I find to assault rifle is the "Bushmaster Assault Rifle", because that specific rifle has/had those exact words stamped on the receiver -- at least when the 1989 list was created on what guns are banned there.

Understand but if those Kali gov types called a Ruger SR9 "the cop killer pistol" would it be appropriate for a " 2A" supporter to lend credence to what the political slobs call it? To me a calling it what it really is gives the "stink finger" to the libertards politicos... Just sayin....

Not sure you posted the right term to start with.  I only heard the video guy saying assault WEAPON, not assault RIFLE.

I think both are bad descriptions, but technically, assault WEAPON is the legal CA term, as he said and annotated in the video.
