Basically plagerized an entire portion of Michelle Obama's speech. It's just sad what a joke the GOP has become.

I'm wondering how much Hillary's campaign paid the Trump speech writers to do that.   ???

True, the few words that are the same or similar can be found in movies and books -- Your word is your bond,  You have to work for what you want. Treat everyone with respect.

Just enough similarity to create a "controversy" and overshadow the actual content of the speech, which is much longer than 3 or 4 lines being blasted by the media.

Yet, Michelle's "for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country" speech gets downplayed as "out of context!

I'll give you context:  you don't set out to fundamentally transform a nation that you are proud of and love!!  That's like saying, "I love my Ford, which is why I replaced the engine, chassis and entire body with Chevy parts!"

HNN is reporting only two passages seem similar. They played back the one about the children. And while similar, I did not feel it was similar enough to be considered plagiarism. She used very different words in a similar pattern and order. It is really a non issue unless the other passage, which I didn't hear, is much more similar.

I listened to Melania Trump's entire speech yesterday while stuck in traffic trying to get home from work. If what she says is true, Trump is quite the family man and is close to his family. Also according to her and Rudy Giuliani he is quite the donor and contributor. Again, this is according to them, not me. I don't know what to think yet about Trump. But Melania speaks well considering her strong accent.

    Seriously dude ?   ::) ::)

I guess that means that "Micky O" plagerized  me (and MILLIONS of other parents) in 2008 with the same talk I've given to my children.

I did not hear her speech, although she seems to be a very low key person.  What irritates me is that mentally ill liberals find this a big sin while pardoning Hellery/Hiliary's national security violations that put lives and this nation in danger.   Yes I took someone else's name "Hiliary" but it all depends what is, is so taking someone else's thought is not plagiarism to me and who gives a flying F anyways..   Hellery at almost age 70 claims she did not even know security procedures or what constitutes classified information, while most 20 somethings working for feds or mil. know.
Hope when Trump is elected his FCC will go after these POS networks.   Give'em a taste of their own medicine.    Imagine if the same leftists calling for no fly-no buy, end up on no fly or watch lists.
This plagiarism story should be gone by tomorrow.

I cringed a little when I heard this news but seeing your posts, I am more relieved now because it seems yet another libtard thing blowing things out of proportion.

If she really did plagiarize, then that would be absolutely cringeworthy.

It's not like I don't have enough friends (usually from abroad!) making snarky comments about Trump every day, and how stupid Americans are to want to vote for him instead of Clinton (who, despite her shortcomings, is still miles away better than Trump).

Hate it or hate it, this year it will be a choice between Trump and Clinton.

The difference, of course, is these excerpts are from the CANDIDATE, not the candidate's WIFE!!

Where were the screams of plagiarism then?

At least it will be a real family, not a put together Potemkin farce to fool the LIV idiots that elected the fraud.

Suspect the rented kids will be happy to go back to being who they are, and not props for the democrat machine.  At least their future is assured and paid for.

It could be that in this day and age, there have been so many speeches given that it is almost impossible to not repeat something someone else has already said.

For example, if you want to say that you want to make the country a better place for your children (a common theme), how many different ways can you do it?
