Vaccinations at CVS require doctor prescription. Costco and Safeway do not as of yesterday.

I am wondering why we are hearing about this so much recently. Is there an outbreak? Did they only recently start testing? Or did no one bother reporting before?

Hepatitis A is not particularly dangerous so why the sudden reporting about it? They don't report every time someone has strep throat.

Is there an outbreak?

i think that it is quite possible that a little less than 100 cases in a somewhat small state like hawaii might be likely to be considered to be an outbreak
Over 30,000 cases of hepatitis A were reported to the CDC in the US in 1997, but the number has since dropped to less than 2,000 cases reported per year.[43]

Relax, if you get Hepatitis at Costco, you got it 40% cheaper than anywhere else you could have got it.

Ok, that would make sense, like something thought to be rare, rearing it's head. I guess it could be wondering why a vaccinated disease is coming back as well.

Of course I would rather not catch it but it isn't my biggest concern right now.
