Does anyone have a fedex business account with that 75% discount?

I want to get a few cases of ammo and want to know exactly what it would cost to ship it to Hawaii.

I have a couple of friends that want to do a bulk buy, but need to figure the shipping cost.

If u find someone,  can I get in on the buy?

Hope this plays out well. More, affordable ammunition to the provinces here will only add to our numbers and make the shooting sports more popular.
The conundrum we are in as I understand it from my trucker son, W/ hazmat endorsement is that small arms ammunition in reasonable  quantities, is  listed
as an ORM-D commodity for shipping purposes. Same as hair spray and a number of other every day items. They can truck it most anywhere.

However once the stuff comes off the truck and goes airborne, or feet wet on a ship, it becomes classified as 1.4 explosive. Whole new paradigm for shipping and very regulated, read expensive.
FED X handles hazmat such as paint and the like, but packaging rules are very strict and there are limitations as to what aircraft may carry them. Freighters only, not space -A as in the belly of a passenger plane
even if there is room. All the guys on the net advertise ammunition at great rates, but get to the check out and see the shipping...
We need to find a way to beat this system somehow so that we may take advantage of the internet deals on ammo that are so tantalizing, or help or local gun shops make better shipping arrangements.

If this comes about can we mix some powder and primers in with the ammo?

Can't swear to it, but I think "propellant", and primers have the same issue.

Project Transport and Hawaii Freight Service can ship the ammo here on a pallet, prob a cheaper route than FedEx or UPS. The ammo and components has to be shipped to them, then consolidated and put on a pallet or pallets depending on how much. It may take a bit longer to get here, but from what ive heard is definatley the route to go, have spoke to a few people that did it and for 1 pallet the rate was in the 175-300 range depending on how loaded it was.
