Chick wants her 15 minutes of fame.
 I say in these cases of thrill seekers doing stupid stuff, the City or state should NOT attempt any rescue if they get into trouble.
Why should good people risk THEIR lives to save a dummy?

I most of the ski places that I've been to, lots of people want to ski/ride in the out of bounds areas for fresh or deep snow. Most have signs warning that if they have to send rescue to assist, there's a minimum charge, like $1000-2000 ish. Prob doesn't matter as I would bet most of those knuckleheads can't pay the fine.

Ambulance ride in Hawaii is $1400, (they tired to bill me with my Motorcycle accident but couldn't prove I contracted with them so had to drop it)

I'm surprised she was allowed to swim there. Wouldn't there be fences or laws against going into dangerous or sacred areas like that? If going there is illegal then she could be made to pay a fine. Otherwise it would be similar to the skiing scenario, so if she gets hurt go rescue her but make her pay the cost of it.

However with her looks, I would be willing to waive all her fines.
