Good durable paint for airgun restoration?

Saw the thread on Cerakote, no one on the BI.

Restoring/rebuilding an ancient Crosman 600 10 shot semiauto Co2 pistol.  Have it stripped to the aluminum frame and the cheesy factory gloss black stripped off.  Was thinking of Rustoleum khaki camouflage, but of course that is not available here.

Any recommendations for a readily available spray paint that has decent knock around durability?    In the olden days, there were paints made for exhaust headers that you could bake on and were very durable.

High temp paint for grills and such, hardware stores sell them. Very durable.

That was my hunch, too bad they only come in black, silver, etc.  Kind of would like some sort of tan/brown.

I wonder if a bit of heat on curing helps give it a tougher surface?  The old header paints sure got tough if you baked it, though too many of them did not stand up to exhaust heat.
