5-0 parked in niu valley with orange vests on since 5:00 or so
no reason for them to be out this side when they could be on the freeway

did anyone else notice the ballroom at the east-west center where HE was going to give his speech was EMPTY?
perhaps everyone was stuck in traffic

Obama departs Oahu for trip to Midway Atoll

President Obama departed Oahu aboard Air Force One from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam at about 9:50 a.m. today on his way to Midway Atoll, where he will take a tour and get a briefing on Papahanaumokuakea National Marine Monument.

I'll probably be coming back to down from Kailua around 8 pm.  Hope he either lands later than that or flies into MCBH. 

That and hope no protestors at the conservation conference thing.  There was a LOT of security, even at 6:30 am this morning.  I've been through the protesting and riots for WTO.  That was interesting.  Lots of eco-types protesting and hippies looking for anything to protest.
