To evaluate my collection, choose a direction, and pursue it.  To sell off guns that were fun to buy, but never get used.  To purge my safe of all things "miscellaneous."  To get rid of the geegaws and whatnots I've accumulated.  And to once again make shooting a regular event in my life.

+1, Like, "This", what have you.

Figure out which direction your guidepost is, and head toward it. Shed everything that weighs you down. I like that.

Me? I got into guns in 2011. I have two pistols and a rifle, and they've been a lot of fun, but I still consider myself nothing more than a recreational shooter, and don't know if I want to progress beyond that.

Have fun shooting in 2012, both in range time and in variety, don't be afraid to explore new avenues for growth.

Make sure I have enough powder, primers, cases and bullets to carry me through to about 2 years after the coming election as a minimum. Due to circumstances beyond my control I had moved to the Big Island before the election and had no ammo or components to build anything. It took me a month before I found a box of 50 rounds of standard Winchester 9mm 115gr FMJ loads that sells for about $10-$11 today that cost me $28!!! A box of 20-25 self defense rounds ran around $50!!! If you could find them. The only ammo that was available when I arrived were less popular calibers.

SCARY, VERY SCARY!

I was thinking of maybe buying less firearms next year and maybe joining a Firearmaholics Anonymus meeting....

I just bought a 4x4 Nissan Pathfinder that I wanna lift and make "BATTLE" ready....
So if I can just figure out the secret on spending way less money on firearms I'd be ok..
Shoot! I'm picking up a rifle this week! This will be the most exspensive firearm I've ever bought... Next year I promise I wont break....

Ah- the 10-22. "My" first rifle.  :-* Meeeemoriiiieees... I have no idea what ever happened to it. Dad must have traded it in on something at some point.

Ya know, I tried loading all my brass... but somehow it keeps turning up empty again.  ??? Almost outta lead, too. Again. Funny how that happens.
