Be warned, this is left-wing censorship.

Any news item that they do not approve of, will be tagged "fake" and therefore censored.

Think of it as liberal SNOPES on steroids.

You need to speak out against this every instance you can, whenever you see friends comment or post news about it.

Please also start warning people on other discussion boards.

Nip this initiative in the bud.

They can't do it if people are aware of their true intent right off the bat.

Exactly.  To me the reason this never gained traction is that an incident like this was predicted 9 days before the incident.  This false flag event at Comet Ding Dong was forwarded by an independent blogger, the type of alternative media that is demonized by the actual fake MSM. 
Also looking at what's reported of the "gunman" sounds like it was written by Obama's biographer.   1) weapon of choice AR-15;  2)  he had Christian beliefs; 3) white male.  Surprised they didn't add he used a high cap mag to fire 1 round in the ground.
 However he was also an unemployed actor, probably the type that would take a gig as a CRISIS ACTOR.  Maybe check other false flag incidents to see if this actor is in the crowd somewhere.

It is now frequently cited as the "reason" why all these "fake news" sources need to be shut down, so that they do not inspire or mislead people who will then go on to commit ridiculous crimes based on falsehood.

The EU apparently has just recommended that all "fake news" sites be blocked (perhaps at the ISP level? Blocking entire domains?) and meanwhile here in the USA, it seems legislation is also being passed to achieve similar ends.

Interesting that all this happened within about a week, all the legislation, the outcry, the "gunman", the meme of "fake news", etc. and this is all sufficient ammo for the libtards to now sneer at conservatives and "truthers" with all these silly conspiracy theories, etc. and even GLADLY support the incoming BROAD CENSORSHIP / THOUGHTCRIME legislation.

Trump had better do something soon. He is looking more and more like a Trojan Horse. He's said he's not going after Clinton. Then he's playing nice with New York Times and saying they are respectable and great. He also said that Obama is a great guy and he listens to him, etc. (he said this on the Today Show interview).

Don't know if he is just playing for time to get all his ducks lined up and making nice right now to get ahead.

Also look at Before It's news(BIN), Above top Secret(ATS), State of the union(SOTN) and Trunews.   Yeah some of these sites list some whacky stories with heavy gage tinfoil added but when Drudge broke the story of Monica Lewinsky, everyone first said Nahhh.
These are alternative news or what is the 5th estate which took on the MSM, the DC swamp and Clinton machine, and won in 2016.
