i'm at kokohead watching this guy shoot his ar15 with a silencer. sounds like an air soft gun. i think he's a federal cop or something...

That's pretty cool. I have yet to hear a silencer in person. He'd have to be an "exempt" person to be able to be legal.

Well isn't that just like a really hot chick teasing you but you know you can't touch.  And just recently I watch the OC channel while they did a show at Advanced Armament on their Suppressor manufacturing process.  *drool*.

There used to be a Navy guy who would come all by himself with a mil vehicle and his issue M14, I seen him up there on more than a few weekdays.  If more agencies would allow individuals to sign/chit out their issue weapons and gear to train with on personal time, Im sure you would see all sorts of cool stuff at Kokohead.

Did it look like a HK style Silencer (MP5-SD) or did the rifle have the front sight? The silencer is where the flash hider would be?

no front site, it was threaded on the end where the flash hider would be.. probably a 1" outer diameter and 6" in length.

So it looked like the 2nd picture with the silencer hanging off the end?

Those Suppressors are 1.5" x 7.5" Long.

If they were shooting full loads there should still be a little crackle from the .223
9mm Subsonic sounds like a Low Pitched 22LR

Rear Supressors are not like how the movies make them to be.  Bolt Action is the quietest.

yeah it sounded like a .22lr, i just said air soft for exaggeration purposes. the guy shooting it said he paid about 1400 for it.

Like Maj Ox said, they were talking about silencers on the "Outdoor Channel"...

The sole purpose for a silencer was so you would'nt annoy your neighbor as you practiced your marksmanship... :-\

Hollywood perverted the whole silencer deal..... :'(
