Looking for a budget spotting scope
« on: January 08, 2010, 09:02:59 AM »
I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a spotting scope under the $200 range. All it would be used for right now is the range. Does anyone have any recommendations?

So far, I came up with the Celestron Ultima as a good value.

I also looked at the Barska Gladiator line but I had a horrible experience with these binos.

Garage sales.

Seriously.  I came up with  20-60x60 for $20!

Konus scopes have pretty good optics for a reasonable price. My 15-45X65 Konus scope cost $145. M y tripod and mount cost more. You maybe able to find a deal on Craigslist.

I got my spotting scope at SA in town.  It was 150bucks, came with hardcase, carrying case, and tripod.  When I bought it was on sale. The brand is remington.
