think of the children...
I'm sure to get elected if I can pass some "common sense" gun laws.
Let's make it illegal for felons to have firearms! Oh there's already laws for felons?

We need to pass some laws! Let's go after the people who will obey laws! Yeah!

Reminds me of that scene from Red Dawn. Where the invaders would kill innocent civilians for attacks that were committed by the insurgents. Make sense?! Nope.

"Moon was seen going to his car, retrieving a handgun and shooting the victim," said Buffett.

When paramedics arrived, they found the 20-year old victim had been shot in the back of the head.

This is not the first firearm incident for Moon. In fact, he was supposed to make a court appearance for a firearms felony earlier this month but did not show up for his initial plea. Which means he has been wanted by police for weeks.

HE WAS ARRESTED DECEMBER 1ST WITH A GUN ! ! ! ! !

We’re learning new details about the suspect still at large who is allegedly involved in the Christmas Day shooting at Ala Moana Center. The suspect, Dae Han Moon, was arrested and released earlier this month following a separate run-in with police.

On Dec. 5, a police officer responded to an incident on Kaheka Street which led to a chase that ended at the Saints Peter and Paul Church near the Don Quijote parking lot.

Police say the driver, Moon, almost ran over a security guard before hitting a police vehicle and a rock wall. They found a weapon in the driver’s seat.

Sources say Moon is known to carry firearms and or bladed weapons on him or in his car.

Moon was arrested and charged for that incident for carrying a gun and auto theft.

According to court documents, Moon wasn’t supposed to be carrying a firearm. He posted $30,000 bail on Dec. 7, and on Dec. 19, Moon pleaded not guilty to the charges at Circuit Court. His trial was set for the week of Feb. 21, 2017.

He isnt even 21 so couldnt have acquired any firearms in the state. Might of been able to bring long gun from out of state and later register as personal property.
But no handguns.

Amazing criminal justice system we have.
This dude was obviously prone to violent behavior, yet was allowed to post a relatively low bail.

hmmm...a criminal that doesn't follow the law....
Meanwhile, we, law abiding citizens have taken decided to follow the law, wait in line, read about the law, study it and argue amongst ourselves as to what is legal and what isn't.
I'm sure criminals ponder these topics all the time....

It's the same nearly everywhere: the revolving door. The result: innocent people being victimized over and over by the same criminals.

Suspect in murder of actress, yoga teacher charged in 6 other crimes in 2016

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/12/28/suspect-in-yoga-teachers-murder-charged-in-6-other-crimes-in-2016.html

The man suspected of murdering a Washington, D.C. yoga instructor and part-time actress had been charged with a crime six other times in 2016 – including just days before Tricia McCauley was found sexually assaulted and strangled to death in her car early Tuesday.

Adrian Dwayne Johnson, 29, who also goes by Dwayne Adrian Johnson, was charged on Dec. 17 for alleged thefts at a CVS and Meridian PCS. At a hearing for those cases, a judge ordered Johnson to wear a GPS monitoring bracelet, but there’s no record he ever showed up to receive the device, FOX5 reported.

Johnson’s six other charges stem from alleged thefts or robberies. He’s also wanted in two other counties for failure to show in court in other theft cases, NBC4 reported. Johnson has been ordered to undergo multiple mental health screenings and attend drug rehabilitation in past cases, however, it’s unclear if any of the screenings took place or the rehab was completed.

Ala Moana murder suspect turns himself into police custody

Moon was also arrested for auto theft and four firearm offenses related to the case.

I bet none of this would have happened if Hawaii had enacted the commonsense gun safety regulations of universal background checks and universal registration and permits to acquire for each individual handgun and minimum 14 day waiting period to acquire a handgun, etc. Oh, wait... never mind.
