At HPD Today
« on: January 13, 2012, 08:28:19 PM »
Went there at 1:30pm  The line was short but had a total of 12 people waiting.  but for the next 30 Minutes there was a lot of new sales.  Only a few transfers and 2 Military Transfers.  About 3 Guys applied for new permits.  Gee all that tax money the state is collecting makes you wonder.  The guys from the mainland were grumbling that there was no order to this registration.  I was laughing and telling them and its all manual too. nothings automated. Crazy!

What taxes are you referring too? Taxes off of the gun sales?

I'd guess he's talking about the sales tax. It is one of the industries that holds on during a recession :)

I'll be going down to HPD on Tuesday afternoon to get the paperwork for my new gun started. It really seems like a waste of my time to have to take a half day off to go down to get the paperwork started. And then once again to get the thing registered.  >:(

Especially since there's a good chance youll be in and out pretty quick. Last Tuesday I was in and out in less than  15 minutes

Welcome to the world of gun control.

The reason I say this is because it has stopped me no less than 5 times from buying a firearm because I did not have time/feel like dealing with the registration issues.
Relax, I've banned myself..

I always saw this as a good way to get out of work lol.  It's not like any superior can tell you to NOT go and register; in fact, they MUST let you go (any order otherwise would be quite unlawful).  Of course, this only applies to the military.

I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.

Yeah, it is lame and sad..... Everyone "ANTI" has a false sense of security..... or they have an ARSENAL of firearms and don't want anyone else armed.... Making us go back and forth is supposed to fustrate and discourage us to purchase firearms... :(

To be honest, it's only slowing people down but sales are still rocketing through the roof!
