“I kept asking myself, ‘Do I want to live under tyranny?'” said Waugh, who supported Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary and later backed Hillary Clinton. “The answer was absolutely not.”

Anecdote I heard from someone who owns a gun store: When the lava flow was threatening to cut off all of lower Puna from anywhere but a roundabout two hour drive through the national park, plenty of would-be first time gun owners came into the store to attempt to purchase firearms for self-defense given that the cops would likely be at least two hours away. When they heard about the "permits to acquire" and the waiting periods, etc. apparently many of them (mostly the uber progressive types) were shocked (of course this was before RapBack). They couldn't believe they had to do all that, pay that money, and then wait all that time for a handgun just to protect themselves (homes of residents who sought temporary shelter elsewhere were already being burglarized). Most left the store without starting the process, having given up on the idea if it required that much time (over an hour drive to Hilo each way for each of the (at least) three trips to acquire a handgun). Friggin' idiots.

We need to R.F.N. get a law passed to make sure guns don't end up in the hands of mentally incompetent people, such as those who registered with the Democrat party, or otherwise voted for either Clinton or Stein!!!!

These are the same people that wanted to abolish the 2nd Amendment. And now they want to get a gun? Isn't that a sign of serious brain damage?!

Since many are on prescribed "happy pills" (if not before Nov 8th, they are now!), have a therapist and sought counseling to deal with life, and potentially have social media posts that indicate the nonsensical ravings of a lunatic mind, it's likely our strict background checks will prevent crazy people from buying guns.

Far left nut jobs are probably some of the most prone to violence types of individuals.  They are however usually anti-gun.  Now let's think about this one....should these anti-gun types really want to be picking fights with people who own weapons and know how to use them? 

I remember watching that Doomsday Preppers show, and one of the obviously liberal preppers was totally against having guns as part of her preps.

When asked what she would do if gangs came to raid their supplies, she said she was willing to "take a bullet" to protect her fellow preppers and supplies.

That is the kind of illogic possessed by these people.

(No word on what her brilliant plan might be to protect her fellow preppers once said bullet hits her in the head.)
