I cant see anymore then 10% of the population surviving beyond 45 days. Oahu is probably in one of the most precarious situations possible if a major disaster was to go down. Are many folks on Oahu aware of this I wonder?

One of my neighbors is a private contractor that is involved in planning for all the different scenarios for the state. Not once has she ever mentioned EMP. However, she did mention shipments of oil that our powerplant uses to generate electricity being disrupted. If my memory serves me correctly we can go about a week (maybe less?) I think she said and then we are done. I am not saying that EMP is not possible or probable. She just never mentioned it. Mostly they are worried about being cut off from the mainland for food and fuel. And BTW she said the armed services here on island will not help us by sharing their supplies.

Don't you mean "US" Crazy Preppers? 

Think about it, all our supplies come by ship.so even if its not an emp, but anything that blocks matson/horizon will impact us. Were not like the mainland where there are ample hunting grounds due to their vast space.
Thats why the 2a is important. U can prep all u want, but if someone has ha weapon and takes ur supplies, all ur prepping is useless

Thanks for the reminder.  I've read that we have 1-2 weeks of food, on island, at any given time.  It wouldn't take much for everything to go to shit.  (goes on Amazon to order more emergency rations)

Its why we train, no?   HDF is good.  Prove equipment and learn skills.

because the Hawaii Democrats want too much for electricity and I can make it cheaper.
I'd like to see Oahu go down hard! and get rid of all the gun grabbing Democrats.

Heres how it would go down for preppers after an EMP (or other SHTF situation)

Once food runs low, people will group together and form mass mobs that will go door to door taking everything that any one has. If they come across some one who has guns and such(a prepper) , they will burn the house down killing anyone inside and hope that something good is left. Mob mentality stats that if we cant have it neither can you.

End of story.

Would not like to find out.  I feel after 1.5 weeks if no restoration, it will be WROL, with LE going AWOL to protect their own.   Can't predict what the mortality rate would be.   My home would be the BOL for 4-6 others.

Once London808 and Suka mess up our plans.  Macsak and my team will go to my work place and take refuge.  Mac just make sure you bring your worms, fishing poles, and your .22 for small bird game.  From there we will have a better chance against them.
