Fun with 9mm Reloads

What's your favorite powder/bullet for your 9?

Batched up a few of these the other day since I had the shell plate and die's still setup on the bench.

I have my plinking loads setup this way.

1.125" OAL
5.6gr Hodgdon CFE Pistol.
Federal Small Pistol Primers.
Xtremebullets 115gr RN.
Mixed non-mil brass.
Lee dies, light factory crimp.

Bang City.

These actually looked like shit, I wet tumble with stainless media for 3-5 hours.

Every round is gauged. Not all of them make the cut.

Don't buy Lyman, they rust easily in the humidity.

Lee progressive load master. Can't win them all, swear they were all up in the tray, lol.

This headstamp is slightly deformed.

These remind me of the movie Blade.

Great read, are you still loading the same setup since it was posted a while ago?

Actually  I had a subsonic 9mm project going but got dismal results .
Currently I have an IPSC minor project for stock glock pistols only. It's a work in progress.

Not enough pressure to cycle the rounds with your subsonic project? Seems rather difficult with a light load/short barrel combination.

Would like to know more about your IPSC project for stock glock pistols. Remind me to move over a few stalls if you're ever shooting next to me, lol. You'll make me look even worse with a handgun.

...
Subsonic project tried to duplicate 147 gr factory ammo. I had a hard time getting to the right velocity without high pressure.
Also, xtreme plated bullets would not feed reliably in my carbine. Even the round nose would get stuck on the feed ramp.
Also, different factory 147 gr jhp ammo had different velocities. It's easy to make pretty good subsonic ammo, but it may not match factory speeds.
....
The glock project was to make cheap, reliable, accurate, minor power factor, punch clean holes, low recoil, able to drop a pepper popper.
That might take some work.
