So this would be the 3rd ccw bill proposed this year?
Three working days so far, three CCW bills: Two in the House (HB36, HB410) , one in the Senate (SB212). I'm not counting HB13: "Authorizes off-duty corrections officers to carry a concealed weapon without requiring a permit." Just because I think that's total bullshit discrimination.
I'm sure there are a lot (a few?) more bills to come regarding firearms, likely most of them to our disadvantage.
The challenge will be to get the committee chairpersons to hold a hearing for the bills we favor, as it basically comes down to one single person in the state determining, purely on their whim, whether or not a bill even gets a hearing where testimony can be presented, much less voted out of committee. "That's the way the system works." So far, at least in the past few years, no CCW shall issue bill has gotten a hearing. They don't even wanna talk about it...
Last legislative session JI808 created (

) a convenient spreadsheet of all the relevant bills in (see above sticky:
2016 Hawaii Legislature Firearms Related Bills (Google Spreadsheet) https://2ahawaii.com/index.php?topic=21792.0). Hopefully that will happen again. I was just trying to give folks an early heads up about what's in the works these first few days.
I'm hoping Trump will come visit Hawaii and give a short speech in front of Air Force One calling out the fascist statist Hawaii legislators, executives, law enforcement and bureaucrats for the tyrants they are as they rule against "the people". Okay, maybe "hoping" wasn't the right word: fantasizing...
