Guy looking under car with a stick device. What is that?
« on: January 31, 2017, 04:58:12 PM »
I know we all come from a variety of backgrounds so I wanted to see if anyone can enlighten me on this.

I was at one of the local supermarkets in the evening, parked, and noticed some guy was walking around checking under the cars with a thing that he held at the end of a stick.

He did it real fast, car after car. Not wearing a uniform, just casual, so I couldn't tell if he was a security guy or even a potential criminal.

He just put the end of the stick under a car, maybe a second, and then moved to the next car, etc.

Anyone know what the heck was all that about?

I thought about that, but it did not seem like it. The stick was not making any marks, and it was kinda dark being in the evening to see such.

This was outside Don Quijote, so you know how dark that parking lot is.

It was more like just putting whatever device was at the end of that stick under a car, and seeing if it "detected" something. That's what it looked like.

i would think it was some sort of parking marker,

But as you said a sticker maybe an RFID sticker for tacking. I would of gone over and checked it out. But then again IDGAF

I second the idea that it's for parking.  Maybe people going to 24 hr. fitness or the many restaurants around there park at DQ and management checks on cars seen for longer than say 2 hrs.  or so.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
