The war has already started and if you havent noticed it by now your on the wrong team.

I'm on the right team, but you're a minority on an island full of certifiable idiots as am I,
as are most people on this forum.  You cannot reason with most Democrats,  it is like trying
to talk to a cop,  they know all, have all the power, and they don't really care what you think.
So to be polite, we keep our mouths shut, keep our heads down, and prepare for the time
when we can have an effect.  I  work towards getting national laws to override Hawaiian gun
laws.  I will work my butt off to get the Hudson bill HR 38 2017 passed.
I encourage you to do the same.

If you mean being on the wrong team is like being behind enemy lines in HI today, then you're correct.
But if  there were actual incidents of fighting between states and the feds even on the mainland and not HI; if HI decides to side with the rebellious states, I would think that the state and city government would be dissolved and a provisional government set up by the feds would be in power.  Meaning no HPD or sheriffs, AG or prosecutor.   In this case I believe we would then be on the "right" team.  Unless of course martial law leads to confiscation, but I'd like to believe the new government would see us as friendly and let us be.
Either way if civil war did erupt on the mainland, HI will not receive commercial goods from any port in the U.S. and hopefully many will defy and resist covertly and overtly the state.   Basically the state would be devastated, especially with tourism halted and maybe even a blockade to prevent foreign aid.  These are different times so anything is possible.
There is no right or wrong theory now.

Was at the gym working out yesterday afternoon and Fox News was on.  One of the Fox hosts was on with a Dem congressman and they were talking about the Flynn leaks.  The congressman wouldn't answer anything directly and seemed to be like a parrot with one message, "I want a complete investigation".  To the point where the host couldn't get the congressman to concede that the fact of the matter is that there was a leak in intelligence and that Flynn's identity wasn't protected like it should have under current laws.  Well, they wouldn't be discussing the need for a "complete investigation" had the proper protocol been exercised in terms of surveillance on US citizens and if US citizens should happen to get caught up in surveillance of a foreign official, then there are certain protocols to be followed for the protection of the US citizen.  The Dem congressman wouldn't even concede that FACT.   :grrr:

The left is very good at fighting this war. It is frustrating knowing the facts and the truth and watching someone not admit the truth.

Yup.  Reminded me of this thread and other stuff about arguing with the left.  They use emotion and feel like they can say an outrageous claim and their following eat it up.  Then they hold everyone else to the higher standard (i.e. truth).  So sad to see so many brainwashed.  I have a bunch of friends from Seattle who are particularly brainwashed, which isn't a surprised.  So much hate for Trump that they don't see the bigger picture.  No offering a better alternative, just blind hate.  But in the next breath, they'll call for tolerance and understanding of blah, blah, blah.  Do they not even hear the utter stupidity of what they are saying and how hypocritical they are????

Makes me want to throw up. . .

Wish I could have a cigar right now.   ;D

What you said reminds me of the outrage from the Grammys where the Beyonce fans are screaming racism that Adele won album of the year instead of Beyonce. They are eating their own alive and imploding.  :geekdanc: :geekdanc: :geekdanc:

I agree entirely about the left not seeing the bigger picture. Their hate and anger is so strong that all they can think about is striking back. But what is it they are striking back at?

They don't see that the violent riots and the racism is all coming from their side.

From Joe Huffman's blog (http://blog.joehuffman.org/):

Funny [link to Breitbart article about the Oregon 2A "sanctuary counties" http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/02/14/oregon-counties-declare-sanctuary-status-gun-control/]:

Oregon Counties Declare Sanctuary Status Against Gun Control

Four counties in the state of Oregon have declared sanctuary status, saying they will not enforce the universal background checks which Democrats heaved upon the state in 2015.

This reminds me of pre-civil war issues. There were the free states and the slave states. And then there were Federal laws requiring slaves being returned to their “owners” even if they had escaped and made it into a free state.

We are very much in a civil war now over a number of issues. We just haven’t started shooting yet.

We have interesting times ahead of us.

I have never been a liberal, nor a Democrat, however being a bit older I do know what liberalism used to be about.  What the Democrat party is today is nothing what true liberalism stood for say 30 years ago.  The real old school Democrats need to wake the hell up and see the cancer that has infected and taken over their party, turning it into a radical, hate filled party, that has morphed itself into a communist / marxist world view ala Saul Alinsky.  Voting (D) just to stay on party lines MUST stop.

But wasn't Saul Alinsky a good guy? I mean, he did mentor Hillary Clinton right? And in his youth he created this organized plan to steal acquire from cafeterias and get free food for all his commies friends.

Yeah, except that the Democratic Party was the party of segregation, with their leader at the time, Senator Robert Byrd (at times Senate majority and minority leader) being a (former) self-acknowledged member of the KKK. He voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964. How's that for "classical liberalism"?

In my younger days, I voted Democrat because everyone I knew  was a (D) from when I was young.   However as a (D) I always believed in the same beliefs as I do now .  I was not a liberal and more like the southern democrats of the 50-60s.  Back in the 80's a co-worker talked to me about things which opened my eyes, and I realized the Democrat party left me.   In HI , the label is everything unfortunately, which is why the same jackasses keep on being re-elected.   Luckily my children do not vote Democrat.

The real old school democrats were card carrying members of the KKK.  They were the real old school racists that saw people for the color of their skin and killed anyone not white who dared stand against them.  Never forget this.
