How early to get a table at the rifle range?
« on: February 18, 2017, 05:20:28 PM »
I was thinking of getting to the rifle range at 6:00 on Monday....is that early enough?

It seems full by 7:00 on the weekends.

It's tough to say. The range was half empty this afternoon. I hear that they're rather light on the holidays, probably more so on President's Day.

If the tables are full, you can ask to use the lane next to the table.  Preferably avoiding those with muzzlebrakes and semiautos.

I was talking to the ROS today and based on historical events, the range isn't that busy on holidays like Presidents Day.
Of course, past performance is not indicative of future performance.

I've always had good luck arriving between 10:30 and 11:30.  I seem to hit the "shift change" with early arrivals heading out and the after lunch crowd not yet finished eating!   :geekdanc:

Getting there at 6:00 was a bit overkill.  Oh well.....at least we got adjoining tables.

My "friends" grabbed the most makai tables and I ended up next to someone who had artillery for guns.

He was actually very considerate.  He would warn everyone by calling out "fire in the hole" when he was almost ready to shoot

I was on the Pistol side and it sounded like a howitzer going off! What caliber was it!  :shake:
