Another Ainokea dashcam video from yesterday while I was going to fetch some lechon at Waikele.
Apparently red traffic lights are not needed anymore.

Somehow people of hawaii get plenty money to buy fireworks while complaining about the high cost of living here.

Well, they should have no problem paying the violation fees once the warning period expires and the traffic cameras at intersections start issuing the real fines.

Traffic death numbers are about double from last year.
This is why. (my dashcam from last Sunday 6-8-25)

Motorcyclist traveling in the BICYCLE lane at about 80 MPH.
Then 15 seconds later a little car chases after the motorcycle at about 70 MPH. The speed limit in that area is posted as 35 MPH.

Not a video, but scary nonetheless. This is a crosswalk by a school near my house. Someone slammed into the "kids in crosswalk" sign. Fortunately, school is in summer vacation.
